• Firefox issues on one PC

Today I decided to try the new Firefox after using google chrome nearly since it came out. I have had more issues in the past 4 hours with firefox than i have had ever with google chrome. Dont get me wrong i like the features of firefox such as being able to sync with other computers and me having an android phone, meaning i can sync with that aswell. The one major problem i have with firefox is the fact that on my desktop, and only my desktop gaming PC, it seems to freeze, allot. It doesn't just freeze up firefox, but the whole fucking system!!! yet on my laptop, media pc and my android phone (not that that counts) it works seamlessly. Im running firefox version 7.0.1 My system specs are (if it helps) AMD Phenom II 1055T OCed to 3.3GHZ 8GB DDR3 RAM @ 1337mhz (lol) AMD Radeon 6950 2GB (unlocked to 6970) Gigabyte 880GA-UD3H
Very similar specs and I've always had the same problem with Firefox. Massive memory consumption and random freezes, often taking the whole system with it (to the point of having to log off at a minimum to terminate it)

I have about same problem but my computer doesn't freeze up, only firefox for about a minute and then comes back, and then freezes again after some time.
I have the latest firefox running on my macbook and it seems to be having some problem when I download stuff from the internet. I have set it to ask me where I want to download the items to. So it alerts me of a dialog box which lets me choose. Then when I click save, the browser crashes so I have to repeat the process again. I cannot replicate the issue and usually just happened ever so often, which did not when I was on the earlier version.
