How many choices in The Witcher 3 matter over how many choices in Divinity: Original Sin 2 matter?
Nice that Warframe finally won an award. And grats to Cuphead for winning two.
How on earth nu-Lara is a better character than 2B or Bayonetta?
Geoff Keighley's Game Awards were more fair than this shit, by far.

witcher 3 is infinitely more popular. just like how gmod won over doki doki

Kinda makes it pointless tho. Steam Awards, more like, "what game do you like more in this category".

isn't that exactly what this is?
Did people actually enjoy The Evil Within 2? I haven't seen anyone praise it anywhere and after launch it just dropped back under the radar.
But I guess it was apparently more popular than Hotline Miami 2?

Well yeah that's what these kinds of award events where everyone can vote end up being, they're popularity contests.
For me it's more like "Which game do you own?" or "Which do you think might be good?"
those awards cuphead won couldn't be more fitting. well done cuphead devs
Oh damn Nier Automata didn't win anything.
What a sad day.

The Evil Within 2 was very well received, it just didn't blow up. Hotline Miami 2 was also very divisive, many people disliked how the focus switched to using guns on larger levels, and how the levels had windows everywhere.
Was hoping Warband would win the No Apologies award because naked swadians with greatswords
Factorio should’ve won “haunts my dreams” since I literally cannot stop dreaming about conveyor belts.
witcher 3 is infinitely more popular. just like how gmod won over doki doki
But Gmod is what was fitting the most in the category. Pretty much all the other titles can be easily described with "games with weird twists". Gmod offers such a wide range of experiences, which as as a whole are difficult to explain.

Fucking circuits are nightmare fuel.

i understand where you're coming from. but gmod is a sandbox game where you can do anything you want, between different gamemodes and mods. its not really anything worthy of "defying description"
doki doki is literally a game where you need to play it in order to get what the fuss is about. even if you get spoiled its still completely required for you to experience it yourself. between [sp]girls getting depressed and committing suicide[/sp] and [sp]having to check your game directory for file changes and deleting character files[/sp] its absolutely something that deserves it way more than gmod. because you cant describe it without ruining the whole thing.

I've been playing warfarm since it started, if that's a labor of love I don't want know what people consider decent devs.

How is that "defying description" if you literally just described it?
How is that "defying description" if you literally just described it?
"defying description" doesn't have to be literal. it can easily be used in the context of "i dont want to describe this game to you, because it would ruin the experience. just play it" and thats exactly what the description of the award says. to "just play it."
I'm just happy that Crypt of the NecroDancer got some attention tbh
