I just finished building my new computer, but it says i only have 50gb of memory (my ssd) instead of 2050 gb of memory, also my video card and others are not working due to drivers.
Drivers should of came with the hardware...
Just get a list of all of your components, get the drivers, and put them on a 512mb flash drive.
thing is, the hdd's didnt come with any drivers.....
thing is, the hdd's didnt come with any drivers.....
Are you serious?
Drive Sweeper or something should be able to
ok, on the manual for the hard disks it says to partition and format them, because they need no drivers. but i cannot partition or format them because even though they show on bios, they dont show on windows.
If you have Windows 7, drivers should not be necessary for most of your hardware.
Are you serious?
and yes. i'm being completely serious :/

Delete the partition through Windows installation and then recreate it.
i cant see it on the installation though... treat me like i have no idea what the fuck i'm doing, what EXACTLY are you suggesting i do first? [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] 900 posts :toot:
Right click my computer, manage, can't remember what's it called right now and using a Finnish Windows 7 but I think it's like storage management or such. Easy from there on.
If you want to do it straight up, get a Gparted live disc and format the drive.
ok, they are appearing in the management, thanks [editline]7th April 2011[/editline] i see em, it says they are functioning, yet they do not appear under the computer tab and are unusable.
Right-click, create partition. Or volume if it says volume instead of partition. The hard drives are there, functioning but they have no partitions on them. Have to format them first, then you can use them.

For the longest time I had no idea that management console existed and battled with hard drives not working :v: It's the reason most manufacturers pre-format their drives. I prefer it when they don't now though.

[editline]8th April 2011[/editline]
thing is, the hdd's didnt come with any drivers.....
why did this get so many (or for that matter any) dumbs? its just a fact... one that is true, i might add.
just hit windows key and R type DISKMGMT.MSC right click blank drive create partition follow instructions then you're set
More to the right, on the part that shows partitions etc., not the drive itself. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline]
Pepper;29052807']just hit windows key and R type DISKMGMT.MSC right click blank drive create partition follow instructions then you're set
what i'm saying is that it doesn't even show there...
Today I learned that Windows has a partition manager.
http://www.mediafire.com/i/?b7hbhvrrx8hhf9v http://www.mediafire.com/i/?nwit16nwyvzg3zd this is a pic of the problems im encountering. it shows up where i cant partition or use it, but it shows where i can just see it. and fuck you whoever keeps rating me dumb for no reason, your not even contributing.
why in the world are you using mediafire as an image host, try imgur. Right click the image, copy image url, paste into .

Click the black bar to the right of disk 2.
wow, guess i was looking at the wrong part of the page, thanks so much
I meant right click, is it working?
Disk 2 > right click > Format?
woohoo, up from 4gb space left to 2004gb. thanks soo much, i feel like a moron for not noticing the things beneath it, i was looking in the upper. [editline]8th April 2011[/editline] it was (disabled disk) right click name> new simple volume> create new> *launches new-volume wizard*
I'm pretty sure someone has to guide you through putting socks on in the morning. "Look down, you should see your feet." "I see nothing." "Right there..." "My legs?" "Right under those." "AHHH" "Now take the sock." "What sock?" ...
