• Considering a PicoPSU + external brick

First off, specs: 2gb (2x1gb) DDR2-800 RAM. Intel Celeron D e1400 1 x 120gb IDE laptop hard drive 2 x 1.5tb SATA2 Samsung F2 EcoGreen drives Shuttle K45 case + mobo, with ICE Genie cooler. Im considering fitting this machine with a PicoPSU. The K45 came with a 120watt flexATX power supply, which is noisy as hell, so its going. In its place - a PicoPSU 90watt + 72watt external brick. I think. Could anyone give me a rough idea just how much this system would consume under load? The processors TDP is 65watts, +5 watts for each of the hard drives. Thats my eye-balled figure at the moment.
Get the 120W Pico PSU just in case (and to allow for any future additions)? http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl/it.A/id.417/.f Couldn't you just replace the fan in the PSU? - It's not exactly a hard thing to do :)
Go for the 120w or 150w model, because i kinda doubt the 90w model can take the start-spinup of the 2 hdd's at the same time.
Get yourself a power meter and measure it yourself. It won't be perfectly accurate and it will also read the wastage of the current PSU, but it will give you a ballpark figure with some headroom.
