I don't think anything can top the first Baulder's Gate, but one can hope.

It was average mod maker level quality.
AKA, yea not very good.
as far as i could tell when i played the enhanced edition there was hardly any bug fixes
couldn't actually play multiplayer because everytime we would enter a new instance/room the game would crash itself for 1-3 players
So nothing will be updated?
The graphics will still stay the same?

Everything they did you make it up to modern systems was nice but outside of that eh
I'm not sure what story they'll be able to place in the in-between on Baldur's gate 1 & 2.. Wasn't it just a few short month's/time passed before getting captured by jon irenicus?
Even then, what you were doing during that time was iirc was just visiting random town's and helping them, since most of the dungeon's in the sword coast you already plundered.
But still, my memory of some thing's are foggy even though I've played and finished both EE of both game's last year.
If anything, they'll address what event's transpired which shows you ending up with jaheira, imoen and minsk in jon's lab.

Just watch a comparison video on youtube, the only thing I remember being changed was the world map, it's actually a map now.
