What is a normal ASVAB score for people who are in their junior year of high school? Like average? The recruiter told me it was around 40-50 is that about right?
If the recruiter says that's normal I'm pretty sure they know what they're talking about.
no it's 100. Did you not get 100? Stupid.
no it's 100. Did you not get 100? Stupid.
Why even respond... really. Do you not even know what the ASVAB is... you can't even get 100 on the test. Or the recruiter is in the Marines.

If you get anything higher then a 80 or 90 don't bother joining, you're just wasting your time, go to college and have a real career. Don't join if they don't give you exactly what you want, recruiters prey on those who have no idea what they exactly want to do, take a little while to think about what you're doing and where you want to be, don't take any old job just thrown at you. If you get to a meps station and get through everything to the point where its time to sign and swear in, you still have the option to say no and not sign, don't let the recruiter pressure you and don't allow the military to fuck you in any way, because if they can they will. I've spent 4 years in the military and have 2 left, it allowed me to go to college but other then that it's been nothing but a nuisance. I was even recently offered an E-5 slot (sgt) but that was clear on the other side of the state so i turned it down. I'm currently No.1 for my MOS in the state of Iowa for promotion, but unless they give it to me with in my unit i will be turning it down. I tell this to everyone i know joining the military, I've seen so many individuals join because they don't know what else to do out of high school, don't sign your life away unless you're absolutely sure it's what you want. (that and i'm tired of seeing soldiers who don't really want to be in causing trouble for everyone else.) Good luck to you, and just be sure to think about your options. (don't sign up till your out of high school, you'll only waste a summer by going to basic in between you're junior and senior year and split training sucks)

Well they said to me that I can basically choose any MOS that I want. I also have chosen Combat Engineer (21B) I will be in AIT for I think its 12-14 weeks. Looked interesting. I have not signed up yet, I am signing up september 16th hopefully. I do have other options but money is a BIG deal with it. If I stay home and go to college hello to 180 grand debt go to military I get it paid for, they encourage college! I also have had a very dull life so I want action and adventure and stories to tell later on.
