• Connecting a SCSI hdd to a motherboard that supports SATA

The new PC I'm ordering has a motherboard that doesn't support SCSI but supports SATA. My current PC has a SCSI hard drive. I was wondering if there are any adapters, how much on average do they cost? Is it cheaper/better to just buy a new internal SATA hard drive instead of re-using my old one? The motherboard in question is the Asus M4A77TD, and according to the description it supports these: 6 x SATA 3Gb/s / RAID 0,1,5 and 10, 1 x UltraDMA 133/100/66 (SB710) Thanks in advance.
If your current PC uses SCSI then just pull the SCSI controller and use it in the new system. You cannot get a SCSI to SATA adapter, SCSI disks need a separate controller and you can't just use a little PCB conversion attachment like you can with PATA to SATA drives. Exactly what kind of SCSI disk are you using right now? If you're looking at buying a new controller the price really varies depending on the standard of SCSI drive.
Chances are, it's just sata. Windows likes to report some sata drives as SCSI drives.
I opened up my PC and checked. The drive is connected to a SATA port on the motherboard, so it is likely it will also work on the new mobo. It says SATA on the HDD itself, windows reported it as SCSI for some reason.
