Laptop Battery dies EXTREMELY quickly, without any warning.

This isn't a very big problem, but it sucks when we go on road trips (we are going to Cedar Point tommorro), it dies in like 10 minutes, so I can't do shit. But I can press the power button and turn it on again, in critical battery mode, and then I can play it even longer than before. And it also sucks when the computer gets unplugged, and I don't notice, the battery dies. Any help?
How old is the laptop? What type of battery is it?
Buy a new battery would be your best bet
Have you tried completely charging it and completely draining it a few times. Can sometimes breath life into old batteries.
Failing that, get a new Battery, Old batteries suffered from the Memory affect, Go Li-poly!
Battery is dead. Happened to my RC helicopter as well :v

A Dell Inspiron E1705, made in like 2005?
It's possible the battery has gone bad. But before you go out and buy another one, are the connections dirty or corroded?
It happens if you are using it in high performance mode...
look for a high capacity battery. I upgraded my 6 cell netbook battery to a 9 cell and on power saver mode i get about 7 hours of battery life.

Yeah, your battery is going bad. Li-Ion batteries usually only last ~3 years.
