Hello. At my business, we have two HP ProLiant ML310 servers. A G5p and a G3. We're looking to secure them. What I thought was getting a small rack cabinet and locking it and a tower to rack conversion kit for each server, but the shipping is as much as the kit itself. Does Facepunch have any brilliant (and cheaper) ideas?
Put them in a room that has a locking door. Not brilliant but it's cheap.

best option on a tight budget. works every time
Our only option for that is a tiny closet. I was hoping for something with a bit better air flow.

If noise is not an issue, and since its a closet i'm guessing its not. Get a bunch of these: Insane Fans

Just put air vent in the door. Just coat a little whole and drill one to it. There, better airflow.
-EDIT-
Fuck you auto-finish.
Put vents in the bottom and top of the closet door
Thermo Convection will do it's job and keep them somewhat cool
yeah just blow a fan or two on it, if you want to go all Tim taylor you can cut a hole and put a vent register on the door and have a fan blow the hot air out.
put a hole in the door and punch a hole in the ceiling
It's only two servers and some routers and such, do you think I would want to add an HVAC vent or a dedicated air conditioner? As of now, there's no vents or anything.
I don't think it'd be at all necessary for a dedicated air conditioner or any ductwork, just put some vents in the door, as has been recommended. If it's a solid wood or steel door, you're probably going to either need to replace it with a hollow wood one, or go through the drywall, assuming it's not plaster or cinderblocks.
Regardless of where you're venting, I'd recommend a large intake near the floor, covered by some sort of vent cover. Don't make it too small, or you'll end up with next to no air movement.
As for the exhaust, a small centrifugal blower, or some 120mm fans to pull heat out of the closet and into the hallway, or other room, mounted near the ceiling so as to pull out the warmer air that has risen to the top of the closet should work fine, and allow the heat from the servers to dissipate in a larger area. Again, I'd recommend a nice vent cover on the oustide for looks, and to stop curious fingers, etc.

IF you plan to add more servers, or it's really how where you are, then it would be a good idea.

Cut a hole at the bottom and the top of the closet door, and add in 2x240mm fans, two at the bottom blowing air in, and two at the top blowing air out.
