So This is what I am running I currently use dual screens for work, and when I game I just use one of my screens ( I dont like the break in the screens) I was interested in using a 3rd monitor for work ( I already have one), but only use 1 for gaming ( i am not trying to spend a fortune) can someone give me a link for another video card or whatever I need that is cheap, and will work with what I already have
Three screens? You need one of THESE and one of THESE. Or just one of THESE will work as well.
We'd need to know what motherboard model you have. Or atleast if it's got a spare pci-e x16 slot [editline]1st December 2010[/editline] if you have a spare PCI port: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133357 if you have a spare PCI-E X1 port: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500164 Though it would be ideal if your motherboard have 2 PCI-E x16 slots, but only you knows that. [editline]1st December 2010[/editline] Did some search on Biostars site, turns out your motherboard only has 2 spare standard PCI slots So http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133357 is probably the best solution to add a extra port for a third monitor
If your motherboard has onboard video check the BIOS for a setting called "SurroundView" or similar, this will enable the onboard video even when an add-on card is present.

I've had one board with that setting, it would automatically shut off the onboard video when a card was present.
