The skins are just like the ones in the last birthday pack, few skins having party hats on top of them. However, there is some really good Rareware skins in there too. Conker, War Conker, Banjo, Kazooie and Grunty. A lot better than the skins in the first skin pack.
Charging for skins when they could easily allow you to use custom skins.

I've been playing the PC version recently. Oh man, the memories just kept flooding back.
Wish they ported Trouble in Paradise over because "Just for fun" mode made me waste like 30 hours in just one garden.

In the next update of Pocket Edition (Android/iOS) they'll be adding infinite worlds (compared to the 360 version's 862x862 blocks) and they'll be adding custom skins in (being able to use ones you've created or downloaded for free).
I think it's pretty humorous that a mobile version is better than a console version in multiple ways.
Admittedly though PE doesn't have hunger (which I hate anyways), enchanting, redstone and some more of the big features but they're all planned and it's got the basic Minecraft stuff (breeding, a nice amount of blocks, farming, multiplayer).
