Hey guys,
I'm currently doing a game design project and I want one of my levels to be a sort of dream world where the character is haunted by his past.
For references though I need to give a moodboard with images of the sort of thing I want the final product to look like.
I'm having a hard time thinking of games which have these sort of dark dream levels, so far I have thought of Max Payne, Batman Arkham Asylum and Far Cry 3. Can anyone please help me name a few more?
Thanks in advance for any help :)

Silent Hill (especially the fourth one) has a lot of funky dream levels where you're never quite sure what's real. Hell, the entire Silent Hill series is like that pretty much.
The FEAR series has a lot of funky hallucinatory-like levels.
Yume Nikki (free to play, so I'd suggest you find it and play it) and all its fangames take place almost entirely in a dream world.
LSD: Dream Emulator
the whole game is weird/dark/strange
Skyrim Mind of Madness quest:

Dishonored, when you meet with the Outsider for the first time.
You are haunted by your failure to protect the empress, and the kidnapping of Emily.
Technically, all of Psychonauts levels are dreams.
Arkham City has some too.

Along with the Ra's al Ghul boss fight.

The actual "dream sequence" starts at 2:45.
Metro 2033's ethereal dream sequences were brilliant.
Oblivion.
Cheydinhal, the painting quest where you must travel into the painted world.
Bravil, One of the mages from the mages guild is trapped in his own dreamworld.
Mother and Earthbound both have one, Magicant.
As hamfisted as they were, Mass Effect 3's dream sequences had the tone you want. You might also try Max Payne's dream sequences. I've never played the game so I don't speak from experience, but I'm told they were awesome.
