Ok heres the down low ma bro's. anyway i bought a RocketFish 600W power-supply from best buy. I brought it home, hooked everything up, and pressed the power button. oh and yes i unplugged it and pressed the power button to get rid of residue energy, then installed it. i pressed the power button to start it and it does this, starts, shows the Dell logo, and then when the loading bar is at full it freezes. So i reset the bios, and now it says: "Performing automatic IDE configuration..." and it been like this for ten minutes which i know it shouldn't take this long. Any idea what is wrong? Oh and btw i bought it because i needed more power for my PCI Express Nvidia Geforce GTX 460. the graphics card ran before but it wasn't getting enough power as it should have. I have had the graphics card for maybe a week and its worked fine. just not at full capacity. But now the power supply made it all yaaa. any suggestions??? HOLY CRAP WHY IS MY AVATAR JUSTIN BEIBER!!! DEATH!
dude rocketfish sucks mega balls

I found this:[url]http://www.motherboardpoint.com/dimension-4700-boot-failure-checkpoint-ithr-t56875.html[/url] which i just recieved. I looked at the ABCD lights and it said it was a drive so i unplugged the hard drive and stuff and the automatic ide configuration thing was instand with cd drive. So i unplug computer, reseat the cables for hard drive and BAM!! its booted and i launched startup repair just to be safe. [editline]18th November 2010[/editline] oh and idk if thats the same model computer. i just know its a dimension haha. wooo
I cannot understand what he is saying he bought an incredibly shitty PSU and managed to unplug his optical drive when installing it? I think
Rocketfish uses absolute shit power supplies, they're just a step above cardboard and string. If it's been less than 30 days since you bought it return it to BestBuy and buy a real PSU. [editline]18th November 2010[/editline] :toot:
I wouldn't be surprised if the stock PSU could handle more load without dying
