• Looking to buy a paintball gun

I'm a novice, beginner paintballer who just does it for the fun. I don't need the most expensive gun and the fanciest one. Just a nice gun that's decent and performs well. I'd like to stay under $100 and would prefer if the gun came with the air tank, and other things instead of just the gun itself. Any recommendations on where to look or what to buy, what to avoid, etc. ?
Tippman 98/98 is often recommended, however it's 150$. I think you should save up a little bit and get it though. Or you can find a kingman spyder.
sorry, you aren't going to find a package with a marker+air for <$100, at least not one worth buying. avoid kingman, my sister bought one and they are god awful, it's worth paying more and not having to deal with having to fix your marker every time. the main issue was that it couldn't hold a steady fps. before a game you have to chrono your gun to make sure it doesn't hurt anyone by shooting the paint too hard. my sisters gun could fluctuate 20fps, which is ridiculous. i place another vote for a tippy 98, it was my first marker and it hasn't failed me since. if you are really serious, i'd save up for a tippmann a5. but it all depends on what kind of paintball you like to play. i'd rent a tip 98 for a few games and try out different styles of play, i.e. woodsball vs speedball, and then decide what you like most. 98s are good because there are a lot of aftermarket mods you can do to them to make them decent in any kind of play. im a speedball kind of guy so i started with a 98 then upgraded to a proto matrix rail when i got more serious.
