http://store.apple.com/us/product/MAC_OS_X_SNGL?mco=NzgxMDc2NA UK version is £25 :argh: (That's $41.20 instead of $29)
Woohoo, a month early!
Should be good, they have the advantage over win7 at the moment with it coming out basically 2 months beforehand.
Should be good, they have the advantage over win7 at the moment with it coming out basically 2 months beforehand.
Yeah, but you have to buy a mac if you want to run it bug free (so it's not really an advantage tbh)
I'm wondering whether I can jump into the store for a free shirt again. I hate their products, but the shirts are great :D
Yeah, but you have to buy a mac if you want to run it bug free (so it's not really an advantage tbh)
Suppose, I want to see what the hackintoshes will be like whilst running this...
Woohoo, a month early!
The 28th isn't exactly a month early...
an interesting change:
Prefices for Bytes are now used in strictly decimal meaning, such that an indicated file size of 1 MB corresponds to 1,000,000 Bytes
Fuck. I just bought a mac last week! My dad says I'll get it free; is this true?
Fuck. I just bought a mac last week! My dad says I'll get it free; is this true?
You'll get it for $9 with the up to date program
You'll get it for $9 with the up to date program
Nice. But, where is this on the site? *I found it, nevermind.* So I filled in the form invoice thing and it accepted it. Then it took me to the store basket. Now what?
buy it?
buy it?
It stays as £25 if I do that.
oh awesome, my macbook pro qualifies for the up to date program :v: Yay 9 dollar OS :buddy:
You get sales tax if an online retailer has a store in your state.
And this is the first time I had to pay taxes for something i bought online :( Stupid apple.
Should be good, they have the advantage over win7 at the moment with it coming out basically 2 months beforehand.
But Windows 7 offers a lot more than snow leopard, so, yeah. Snow leopard is a minor refinement and some minor new features, while Windows 7 brings a slew of new features and improvements.
But Windows 7 offers a lot more than snow leopard, so, yeah.
And I am getting that for my gaming pc :v:
And this is the first time I had to pay taxes for something i bought online :( Stupid apple.
Not Apples fault, blame your state.
you know hardly anyone gets snow leopard at a discounted rate, only people who have bought in 2009 i think, maybe some of 2008? i forgot the chart. the rest have to play like 150 for their "new" OS. and people with tiger are "not supported"

The only computers that aren't supported are PPC users, because of the new technologies that are introduced in this release.

So even if you *were* using Tiger until now, you would've gotten a Leopard disc either bundled or bought for upgrade, so upgrade to that and upgrade again.
http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2009/08/the-real-cost-of-upgrading-to-mac-os-x-snow-leopard/ also, its bad they already abandoned powerPC, even though thats what they used ONLY up till they got intel chips

It was holding everyone back. Sounds like if it was up to you I we'd still be using Motorola 68k processors.
No it's not. It was holding everyone back. Sounds like if it was up to you I we'd still be using Motorola 68k processors.
they stopped supporting PPC 3 years after they stopped using it. its like if Microsoft stopped supporting XP 3 years after vista came out. yet 7 is out and they're just finishing supporting it. i just think it would be better if they supported it for at least 5 or 6 years, maybe not a new os, but still major updates.
