title could be a bit misleading, it says the controls are dropped if you're using a keyboard. so if you're using a gamepad for the pc version you can still have all the radials.

Its still there. It just pops up if you connect a gamepad.
Honestly, I think people are dumb for whining about radial menus (seriously, you people act like circles are a conspiracy or something), but if they're giving the option for a more traditional one then that's fine, always nice when a game adds some UI customization. Hope it's possible to swap between the two without switching controls though.

Radial menus on a PC are a bitch, Max Payne 3 uses one and it over complicates It imo

Radial menus work well on consoles because you can point the stick in any direction very quickly. With the PC you have to move the position of the mouse, which can take longer and screw up your aim. Also a keyboard has like 5,000 buttons so you can just map everything to keys.
I haven't played any of the XCOM games before.
Should I try The Bureau?

If anything you should get the enemy unknown remake... or xenonauts if you can handle the comparatively simplistic graphics.
The Bureau's not gonna be anything like any of the other XCOM's, so just get the recent Enemy Unknown game, it's a fucking brilliant entry point

and what's the bloody difference, it's the same thing, only in radial you move your mouse the same distance in every direction, in the menu they've added you move your mouse the same distance below and then left or right. And how does it fuck up your aim. how much energy does it take you to move the mouse 2cm.
the only problem the radial menu has in the console versions is IT'S FUCKING HUGE and takes all the screen IIRC. Just make a small radial menu the size of the target circle and bam that's perfect.
