Is it worth purchasing a 120hz monitor that doesn't have "LightBoost".

"LightBoost" is a feature on certain 120hz monitors that knocks down response time to 1ms. This supposedly gets rid of a lot of motion blur and helps make game-play feel more "immersive".

There is a problem though, there aren't any "LightBoost" monitors out there with resolutions greater than 1080p and all "LightBoost" monitors happen to be TN panels as well. As an alternative there are however a few 1440p IPS monitors capable of running at 120hz. But these monitors don't offer "LightBoost", which gives the monitors 5-6 ms of response time.

Is the difference in 4ms of response time in anyway significant or even noticeable? I play games and I want a monitor that'll give me the most "immersive" experience, a lot of these games happen to be "twitch shooters" as well..
Lightboost is a backlight strobing feature meant to blank the image to reduce motion blur and 3D Crosstalk.
I have a XL2420T, and I never run it with the lightboost feature on because it makes it feel flashy and flickery (I can't use 3D glasses either they fuck with my eyes)
When I tried it on though, the motion blur was clearly reduced, but it didn't quite look right.
It depends what kind of monitor you'd be coming from. If it's some shitty 15ms TN panel I don't think you'd need LightStrobe to see a difference.

My current panel is a Dell U2410 (24' 1920x1200, IPS, 14ms response time in game-mode)
