Monitor goes black when viewing dark/lowlight images.

When i am viewing dark images/video/games in full screen my monitor goes completely black. I think the black light may be turning off.

Intel i7 950.
6GB DDR3 triple channel RAM.
EVGA GTX460 SE.
ASUS Monitor, i think it may be [b][url=http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236112]this[/url][/b] one.
Gigabyte X58-USB3
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I would just like to clarify when i say "dark" i mean that about 80% - 100% of the screen is black or almost black.
Any help is greatly appreciated i have been having this trouble as long as i have had this computer/monitor.

Fixed... After fiddling with the settings for a hour or so i found out that "ASCR" was making it do this.
