You have one wish. Do you spend it on yourself, or for the greater good?

You've gotten one wish. You can wish for anything with the exception of more wishes, more genies etc etc.
Do you spend it on yourself (a new car, house, good pc, etc) or do the greater good (a cure for cancer, for HIV etc)
I'd probably spent it on the greater good.
I wish everyone could wish for more wishes.

Something at helps the greater good but also helps me. Something like infinite money could be good for the world if applied properly.
Why not both?
I mean a wish to end world hunger would imply you'd never go hungry either.
Would people know, if you wished for the greater good, that it was you who made it happen?

You could always wish that people knew you were the one who wished for it.......
I'd spend it on the greater good.
The kicker is what I consider the greater good. It's not a smartass answer like "me" or anything but basically, I'm a sociopath. You can probably guess how I'd use it.
for the greater good of course
That's your wish though, your wish would be that everyone would know that you wished for something. So nothing would actually happen from that wish everyone knows about.
For the sake of this, let's just say if you wish for a cure to a disease, it gets in the newspapers and on the internet and stuff like that.

So it'd be in the news and stuff, but would it say that the person who wished for it cured it?
I'd wish for super powers and use it to have fun and to stop crime, thus helping myself and the greater good

It would.
I'd wish for a worldwide post scarcity economy, thus benefiting the world and myself.
Infinite money so I could use it on both the world (charities, research etc) and myself.
I would wish that everyone in the world would be healthy
Greater good
end war and corruption etc etc
once that is achieved there is nothing left to stop us from _, and seeing us accomplish _ would be much more rewarding than "omg free vidgames n pizza hut erry day"
I'd wish for the ability to do cool things that help the world
So, could I cure a disease that I have? Would that count as both for me and the greater good?
It would.
I wish everyone got a hat of their choice.
What greater good could there be than my good?
I'd use it to wish for a magical wish machine to grant unlimited wishes!
