pretty simple kinda like the never ending cheat code :3:
Nothing happens. Here let me show yo-
When you divide this thread by zero, it's still this thread?
Divide by zero error.
Seems like a black hole appears, atleast from what Ive seen from the photoshop section.
You don't divide by zero
Let the Windows 7 Calculator handle this... Seems like we Cannot divide by zero.
1/0=1 or 0. I just did

nothing. it'd create a paradox and then that paradox would make it so you didn't and therefore you didn't but you did and didn't... Do I need to go on? Think of it as the grandfather paradox
[img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/14diuc9.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i52.tinypic.com/foq3ia.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i51.tinypic.com/2uqgcxc.png[/img_thumb]
That is why Garry does not divide by zero, to prevent problems like this.
1/0=1 or 0. I just did
You are wroooong!
nothing. it'd create a paradox and then that paradox would make it so you didn't and therefore you didn't but you did and didn't... Do I need to go on? Think of it as the grandfather paradox
except that has absolutely nothing to fucking do with time paradoxes 0 goes into x infinite times so the answer is nonexistant, in terms of one value. though if you must assign a value it's simply -oo, +oo.
0 goes into x infinite times so the answer is nonexistant, in terms of one value. though if you must assign a value it's simply -oo, +oo.
No... it's just undefined. It can be any real number you want.
1/0 is infinity, everybody knows that! i mean, it's not really, but if you take the number closest to zero (i.e. a decimal with infinity zeroes ending in a 1), the answer is infinity.
1/0=1 or 0. I just did
It's not 1 or 0, it's neither, you can't divide by zero. 0/1 would be 0, but not the other way around. [editline]09:16PM[/editline]
1/0 is infinity, everybody knows that! i mean, it's not really, but if you take the number closest to zero (i.e. a decimal with infinity zeroes ending in a 1), the answer is infinity.
and isn't that infinitesimal, not infinite?
i mean, it's not really, but if you take the number closest to zero (i.e. a decimal with infinity zeroes ending in a 1), the answer is infinity.
That doesn't make a lick of sense!
It's not 1 or 0, it's neither, you can't divide by zero. 0/1 would be 0, but not the other way around.
It's both.. 1 * 0 = 0 0 * 0 = 0 Edit: Oh shit, I'm thinking of 0 / 0.
Undefined. Tada
That doesn't make a lick of sense! It's both.. 1 * 0 = 0 0 * 0 = 0
no, not 1/0, that would mean that 0 multiplied by something equals 1, since that would be the converse, but nothing mulitpilied by 0 will ever be 1.
and isn't that infinitesimal, not infinite?
no. anything divided by infinity would be infinitesimal. anything divided by the infinitesimal is infinity.
no. anything divided by infinity would be infinitesimal. anything divided by the infinitesimal is infinity.
Yes, but you said the number closest to 0 is infinity, but infinitesimal is the number closest to 0.
no, not 1/0, that would mean that 0 multiplied by something equals 1, since that would be the converse, but nothing mulitpilied by 0 will ever be 1.
Yeah, sorry, my bad, I was thinking of 0 / 0, which has an infinite amount of answers.
no, not 1/0, that would mean that 0 multiplied by something equals 1, since that would be the converse, but nothing mulitpilied by 0 will ever be 1.
If it's like 10 divided by 0 though would it just still be 10?
Yes, but you said the number closest to 0 is infinity, but infinitesimal is the number closest to 0.
i said a decimal with infinite zeroes, i didnt say infinity. l2read
If it's like 10 divided by 0 though would it just still be 10?
No, the way I know it is because whenever you divide, you should be able to multiply the quotient and the number you divided by to get the original number, so if 10/0=10, then that would mean that 10*0=10, which it doesn't. You could do 0/10=0, because 0*10=0. [editline]09:29PM[/editline]
1/0 is infinity, everybody knows that! i mean, it's not really, but if you take the number closest to zero (i.e. a decimal with infinity zeroes ending in a 1), the answer is infinity.
the answer, as in 1/infinitesimal, is infinity, dummy.
You get an Error on your calculator
the answer, as in 1/infinitesimal, is infinity, dummy.
I'm not arguing that, I'm arguing that the number closest to 0 is infinitesimal when you said that it was infinity.
NO I DIDNT you were just confused with how i worded it. i knew what i meant. i meant that 1/0 is infinity, not that 1/infinity is infinity.
Say what you mean and mean what you say, don't say that the number closest to 0 is infinity and mean the opposite, you clearly said that if you look at my above quote where it is highlighted where you defintely said those words. [editline]10:01PM[/editline] and 1/0 is not infinity, it is undefined.
