• video formats not defaulting to open with VLC

Everytime i download a movie with a extension of like .mp4 .avi .mpeg .mpg .mov .swf .flv and a bunch of other videos that could be played on VLC media player isnt defaulting when i choose Open with -> Choose default program -> VLC media player It would work sometimes on a video thats .avi and set the media player to VLC but other videos with .avi would open with winamp or windows media player. anyone know how i can make it so all video formats above can be opened with VLC without going to choose default program.
>Start Menu >Default programs >Set your default programs Find vlc and try set mp4's to vlc, then open an mp4 and see if it worked. If it did, probably reinstall VLC. [editline]04:15PM[/editline] mp4s for example, pick any codec.
If it did, probably reinstall VLC.
This. I've had countless problems with itunes and/or media center and a quick vlc re-install always fixes it.
He's right... screw what I said first, reinstall VLC, it's not hard to do  I need more sleep :\ Been saying odd things all day.
Winamp Agent will constantly fuck with your file associations unless you disable it.
