Components are -

phenom ii x4 955

4gb ddr3 1333mhz

500gb western digital hdd

xfx 4870 XXX 512mb

Is my PSU powerful enough, just to be sure?

Thats more than enough. Not saying oyu should downgrade but that could power a 5850 with an i5

Absolutely. I'm running similar specs (Intel Core i5) with a 430W. PSU without any problems whatsoever.
