Alright, this description may be vague but it's the best I can do. Basically, the movie was about this chick who worked as a psychologist at a special institute where she can enter people's minds and walk around and interact with them in whatever environment their mind can come up with. At the beginning she was counselling some kid whose mind was represented by a desert or something.
For the main part of the movie she's hired on by the cops to go inside the mind of a serial killer to find the location of a victim he has imprisoned somewhere. The details are fuzzy but I remember the inside of his mind being really twisted. (And she almost gets trapped there once due to some kind of malfunction or whatever)
All I remember from this movie was that the imagery was really visceral and I want to see it again. Anyone know the name? Thanks.
