Holy fuck, awesome
It seems fun, but honestly I'm not seeing that much Battlefield and more Bad Company
To be fair, it IS rush.
To be fair, the gameplay won't radically change in conquest, it's going to be the same only with big maps.
Why is the contrast so high? It looks pretty shitty.
Yeeaah!
Doesn't really look innovating over previous Battlefield titles, only thing that's been majorly improved is the graphics. At the moment it looks like they merged Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2, and improved little things here and there. That's pretty much it, no major innovations. I'm probably going to give this a pass. After all, I'm not going to be buying something similar to a Bad Company 2 copy paste.
I can't fucking wait now.
This is only alpha footage, so much can change. That said, I think it looks and sounds fantastic as it is. We don't know if the entire game is going to be more similar to Bad Company than Battlefield based on this one section of this map.
It seems fun, but honestly I'm not seeing that much Battlefield and more Bad Company
I don't know why you would expect them to completely scrap what their later work has been and go back to the old games.
Because their later work isn't very Battlefield-main-seriesy? Also, I don't know why EA are so fervent on removing every single piece of footage from YouTube, there's a kind of Streisand effect going on where the more people have the videos deleted, the more re-upload it.
The sound is the best thing about it. I've only heard such good ambience in BC2 so far. The gameplay looks like a thing between BF2 and BC2, which I think is a very good thing. With that they can bring the BF2 players and the BC2 players together. All in all, instabuy. I already preordered actually :v:
looks like bad company 2 axe the locking knife please, ffs. i don't need a damn lunge to knife people.
if they add tonnes of smoke in every map like in bad company 2 then i'm not buying this. i like to see what i'm playing.

"looks like BC2" oh gee maybe because its a battlefield game
I wonder if you can push or trip over cars. Would be funny if you wasn't able to, but still could demolish buildings.
"looks like BC2" oh gee maybe because its a battlefield game
BC2 wasn't a true Battlefield game, at least not if you let fans of the older titles decide. BF2 and 1942 was very different from BC/BC2. [editline]21st July 2011[/editline] Heh, those silly Swedes on voice comm

PC Gamer has another leak with more footage: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/21/battlefield-3-leaked-alpha-footage-shows-throatstab-magic-paddles/ From the looks of it, this game is really more Bad Company 3 than Battlefield 3. Might be worth a buy after a sale. I do honestly dig how much detail they are putting into this though. It really feels like you're in an urban park under siege in that footage, and not just because of the graphics. The sound work is excellent. The motion blur feels a little bit more realistic than some games too. And I like how your teammates' voice work hints that they're just as green as you might be; unlike CoD, where everyone is super serious elite soldier. I hope they keep the first-person death animations, instead of the blurred, still screen like in BC2. RO is a good example of how first-person death adds another layer of immersion.
From the looks of it, this game is really more Bad Company 3 than Battlefield 3.
All that has been shown is one level of one gamemode, why are people drawing these dumb conclusions.
All that has been shown is one level of one gamemode, why are people drawing these dumb conclusions.
The PC Gamer link has a lot more. And then of course there's the Metro gameplay video and some of the other stuff that's been out for awhile, like Fault Line.
Fault Line showed just how unlike BC2 this will be.
And Metro demonstrated how little anything has changed. EA really isn't stretching themselves to change multiplayer that much. I didn't feel like Fault Line was that different from bc2, but I never really got a chance to go through singleplayer, so eh.
To be fair, the gameplay won't radically change in conquest, it's going to be the same only with big maps.
To be fair, conquest is a massive change of objective and gameplay style.
Meh, it looks... OK, I guess. I'm pretty bored of modern warfare shooters but it looks like a pretty good example of one.

What do you honestly expect?
I have feeling that it is going to suck
