• Good wireless headets?

A while back I bought a bluetooth headset but it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I've decided to look for a new one that under any circumstances does not use bluetooth. I've been looking through some headsets online, but all of them are fairly pricey and the reviewers are commenting that the quality is very poor for the price. Can anyone recommend me some good ones? I'd prefer to spend under $100, but can break that limit if the headset is of very good reliability and quality.
Is there a reason why you're wanting wireless? There are way too many cons to having wireless headphones, just for the one benefit of having no wire. If you purchased a pair of $100 with a cable wrap, you'd be much better off. [editline]7th July 2011[/editline] you're not talking about a phone headset, right? for talking?

And if you're asking if I really mean headphones, no, I mean headset (microphone included).
Good Wireless Headset Take your pick Edit The point of me saying this is because "Good Wireless Headsets" don't really exist They all have terrible cons and a pair of good headphones and a desk/clipon mic is the only way to go if you want quality sound for the mic and headphones, and don't want a million downsides and drawbacks
good wireless
Good Wireless Headset Take your pick
This post is not only useless to the thread topic but it's not really true. It may not be audiophile quality but my bluetooth headset is really good, when it actually works.

I don't really care if you think wireless headphone quality is terrible because I've used plenty that were well above an acceptable level, I'm not an audiophile. I'm not interested in getting a wired one because it would be inconvenient for what I'm using it for. You don't go into a thread where someone asks about good motorcycles to tell them about how cars are better, whether or not they are it's not what the person is looking for.

And learn some fucking respect, she's giving you a valid fucking point.

Whatever. Are you looking for a mono headset or a stereo one? You'd be better off just getting a very good mono wireless headset for calls.
Welcome to H&S, get used to this. A much better post they could have made would have been something like "Well, you're never going to get excellent quality in a wireless headset, as it's a worse method of communication, but some of your better options in that category are x, or x". All you're doing is further clogging the thread as well with something even more irrelevant, of course I know wireless isn't as good as wired but the advantages are more weighted than the disadvantages for my purposes.
Cars aren't better. Whatever. Are you looking for a mono headset or a stereo one? Guys, quit being dumb, this is for voice calls. [editline]7th July 2011[/editline] You're not going to be like LOL NOOB GET A SOME SENNHEISERS AND A ZALMAN MIC! to some guy with a bluetooth headset for his phone.
Oh hey, she did just that.
No, she posted something irrelevant to the thread - a thread about wireless headsets. Please read the thread before posting. I already said I had a good speaker setup for listening to music - obviously if I was going to get headphones for listening to music, I would consult the headphones thread - it's there already with information I'd want. This is for a different purpose.
I'm sorry :C
I'm thinking I might go with this headset from newegg. It's made by Asus, who statistically have a pretty good reliability rating, and it claims a THD that's inaudible to the human ear; plus it's going for a great price. All reviews I've found have rated it 5 stars with excellent quality, range, and comfortability. The only other wireless headset for under $100 on newegg was this one by creative, which was more expensive and got horrible reviews about it breaking and being incompatible. If anyone knows better options - or can verify that the Asus one is good - I'd appreciate the info.
You could get some cheapo Logitech one at a store for less than that one (obviously worse), but mine sounds great with skype and stuff.
I use a Logitech G930 and it is awesome.
The G930 is a great headset, I bought one a month ago and love it.
The G930 is a great headset, I bought one a month ago and love it.
I was going to post the same thing. What cons do you guys have for that? I love having my laptop in the basement and being able to go to my room on the second floor with no loss in quality. Plus the 9 hour battery life, I can't think of anything wrong with it.
I have the logitech G930 and they work quite well. I had to do some major tweaking in windows 7 with bass management and stuff but after that it sounds great. and its nice to walk around the house and still be able to listen and hear. no worries about getting tripped up on wires either.
