How about they just remake the game with an improved story, less linearity and better gameplay overall?
Good that they closed. The story has alot of potential now with the new dev team.
homefront 1 blew why would anyone care about a sequel
Hopefully the second one will have major improvements.

Because it had potential and was a good concept, there's plenty of story left and room for improvement.

MP was quite good imo.

Because the sales would suggest to THQ that there's still money to be made.
wow, sucks to be Kaos.
This is why you never merge with a publisher, ever.
sure it starts off nice, a steady paycheck, benefits, but pretty soon you they start rushing you and imposing strict deadlines, then treating you like slave labor. it also pretty much always ends up with them shuttering your ass and taking your IPs you worked so hard on, like so.
oh wait, did I say your IPs?, sorry, I meant their IPs. you sold them to them along with your souls for that somewhat steady paycheck that doesn't even matter anymore because they fired all your asses.
Welp V:v:V
Edit:
seriously,
Bizarre Creations
Pandemic Studios
Ensemble Studios
The dead husk that is Infinity Ward.
I could go on.

meh it was a blatant cod-clone with a "deep and engaging" America is under attack-plot aimed towards the massive market that is American teenagers. sp was terrible and mp was nothing special, but of course, that and enough marketing is all it takes to get good sales (see: Medal of Honor 2010)
What is this, modern warfare 4?
It's pretty sad that one mediocre game release can close down a small to medium sized studio. I know a lot of current big developers that wouldn't be around today if that was the case eight or nine years ago.
The game wasn't great, but it had a lot of potential. They reallying didn't make it an interesting experience, and they left a lot to be desired.
Also, I hate RPS. Every damn article they say something stupid to try and sound funny.
They knew the risks.
MP was quite good imo.
Are you kidding me? Multiplayer was Modern Warfare 2 except 300% more linear. It was complete and utter imbalanced shit.
god the voice acting was so terrible
it wasn't even laughably terrible
it was just terrible

I'm young, and I can voice any of those characters better.

it isn't about what it couldv'e been, it failed and nobody cared about it, why do they think that people would care about a sequel to it
Less doors plz

No it wasn't....For fuck's sake if you can't tell the differences between games, you shouldn't be playing them. You can basically water down everything till its unrecognizable to the next game but that just means you can fucking generalize.

It was actually pretty decent, had some balance issues but and same issues with the story. This had the non-linear levels you guys keep asking for.

I love how they even use the same "slow motion powers activated now kill everyone because you're cool" shit.
god that game was such ass.

Why do the guns sound like wet farts?
I haven't played the multiplayer, but the singleplayer was pretty fucking terrible. It was a very obvious rip-off of MW2. Most guns looked extremely similar to MW2, it had a lot of moments that felt like they were taken straight out of MW2, yet the core gameplay was worse than any Call of Duty. It's like if John Milius played MW2 and then wanted to make something that plays exactly like it.
Homefronts story was fucking great on paper, executed so god awfully though. Multiplayer is very ehhhh for it, though.

would've been better if the main characters actually fought like guerrilla resistance fighters, not invincible space marines with the power to slow time
