Does anyone else hate when people call the iPod Touch the "iTouch"?
I know it's a little stupid, but for some reason this really bugs the hell out of me. You don't call the iPod classic the iClassic, the nano the iNano, the shuffle the iShuffle. Why is it the iTouch?
It seems I hear it called that like half the time.
Are you really that bothered?
It's an accepted name for it.
bothers me as well
That's true. It looks perverted
It's an accepted name for it.
yeah if you're some slack jawed yokel who uses the term yourself, of course you'll accept it.
I just call it the Touch when people know what you're talking about, and iPod Touch when you need to explain. It's really not that hard to type.

Yeah, that's what I do. Like I don't call the iPod Nano the 'iPod Nano.' Just the Nano.
the topic of discussion is "iTouch"
not just "touch" i don't mind when people just say "Touch", but when someone says "iTouch" it sounds obnoxiously low brow. no one called iPod Minis "iMini", or iPod Videos "iVideo", or iPod Photos "iPhoto", etc.
Kick them and keep saying 'iPod touch' really slowly when it comes up
I just call them all iPods, no matter what comes after its main name be it Touch, Nano, Nano Chromatic, Shuffle, Classic or Video.

If you think about it, all of the iPods except for the Touch all look similar, while the Touch looks nothing like the other iPods, but looks just like the iPhone.
It really really really annoys me. I've only ever heard anyone call it that on the internet, never IRL which is pleasing.

:geno:
people like you really know how to use the internet?
i don't even like/own/want an ipod touch and it bothers me
I don't mind the "Touch" for short but I just don't get why you would put an i infront of it like some sort of label of an Apple product.
iTouch kids.

"SHIT, HE CAME UP WITH A VALID ARGUMENT! LETS RATE HIM BOXES AND INSULT HIM IN HOPES HE'LL GO AWAY!"
Seriously, all the iPods that are just called iPods look similar, while the only one that is called something different (iTouch) looks nothing like them.
I hate that I look for apps or youtube videos about the itouch, i get shitloads of iphone bullshit. I know they are essentially very familiar devices, but i hate having to wade through the iphone's bullshit to find the itouch videos and apps i need.

The only apps that don't work on both are the ones that use the camera AFAIK...

They're pretty much exactly the same, there's only a few iPhone apps that don't work on the iPod touch.

Does it even matter?
Does it even matter?
Define matter? Does life matter? Is not our existence nothing but a point on an infinite line? Does anything truly matter?
iTouch myself at night
You guys are just neurotic.
I hate it when people say "iPod iTouch"..It drives me nuts.
Just call it the Touch or the iPod Touch D:
iPod Touch was one of Apple's naming mistakes. All their other products are 2 syllables or 1 word (iMac, MacBook, iTV, Mac Pro, iBook?, iPhone, etc) and unlike the Shuffle/Nano, "Touch" is a more common word and could be ambiguous in many contexts, hence iTouch.
i guess to sounds perverted in some peoples minds.
i remember a commercial back when i was in 5th grade where a DS commercial came on with the slogan
"touching is good"
It's shorter. DURR IT'S NOT PC IT'S A IBM-COMPATIBLE PERSONAL COMPUTER
