Aw. It was a cool game idea but the execution was terrible :(
I don't think they even played their own game. Anyone that plays the campaign for 5 minutes will see how fucking terrible your teammate's AI is.
as godawful as Operation Raccoon City is, developers losing their jobs is nothing to celebrate.
ORC was actually a pretty fun game, I liked how it was a new twist to the resident evil series. They even managed not to really fuck up the lore of the game. The title has A LOT of potential, really does. They just need to improve on AI, Atmosphere (Some of the graphics/models/textures were pretty meh) environment could have been a bit more detailed, gameplay mechanics needed a bit more fine tuning. Better optimization, i think with that they could have had all of the above and added more zombies. I think if given the chance they could very easily learn and create a better game. They took a risk creating a new path for the resident evil series, that alone should be enough reason for people to support them. Not many devs are willing to just create something new like that.
Except for them throwing a bunch of United States Special Forces teams with anachronistic weapons and equipment into Raccoon City, which is pretty massively lore breaking. But otherwise yes, they handled it well for the actual player characters.

There wasn't even any hint towards it. It was basically "WELP now these 2 are with Leon, go kill each other... or something". Not to mention that Leon took like 30 minutes of nonstop shooting to fucking kill.
the weapons and shit from re2 and 3 were also pretty anachronistic really most of them were shit that wasn't used or was a prototype
Only thing I can think of that was totally outlandish from 2 was the taser rifle thing you find in that one room where you have to finish both scenarios to unlock it. Everything else was pretty realistic weapons wise.
