Tim Wynn was never involved with XCOM before.

The lack of Michael McCann makes me sad. Though I guess Eidos has got him all tied up with Deus Ex. This was my favorite.
wasn't this known for months?
The Early Access build Streamers got (Including Beagle), I noticed that some music was a remix of Michael McMann's tracks... I do think Firaxis wanted him too, but Deus Ex got delayed and all that shit.

While people shit on RA3 one of the cooler parts was the soundtrack.
While people shit on RA3 one of the cooler parts was the soundtrack.
RA3 is actually my favorite CnC at this point, the most balanced game of them all without doubt, the best-looking one in my subjective opinion, and super watchable as a consequence. Of course core RTS fans are in it just for campy FMVs which don't really work outside 90s.
tbh I never played any of the C&C games (kill me), but bloody damn, you can't deny that the OST kicks ass

Of course, that just made the game look like it was a saturday morning cartoon, which oversteps even RA2's cartooniness. The balance also made the game rather uninteresting, as everything had hard counters, which on a positive side had deemphasized tank rush, but also made units into a bunch of specific tools. Was it fun? Yeah. Could it have been better? Also yes. Also, I know it started with C&C3, but fuck mirrored maps. Although to be honest, I mainly bought the game because I loved the soundtrack.
So he did the ambient themes for EU? That's great, those tracks gave me the heebie jeebies

For a sample of the tracks he did in XCOM 2, listen to these:
