So somehow i managed to get infected with the Tenga virus, and after using MBAM to eradicate it, half of the EXEs on my PC have been obliterated, Windows is crippled, and the only windows disk i have is Vista, is there any way to resolve this without completely reinstalling? I'm not sure when the infection arose, it can't have been more than a few hours ago, I could try system restore, but i'm worried about any more damage coming to my PC. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Great, Can't even use system restore because it deleted that exe too.
Microsoft offer free digital downloads of Windows 7. Give them a google. Just burn one to a CD, format and reinstall. You may want to backup first but make sure the files haven't been infected first.
Only solution now is to reinstall. Afterwards, install a virusscanner like Avast!.
installed Vista, nuked the partition XP was on.
