3.5 million hehe..
I seriously doubt that it'll get to 3.5 million, let alone 3 million but good on them for thinking ahead. That first piece of art is pretty gorgeous.

Dunno about 3.5 but I wouldn't be surprised to see it break doublefines kickstarter video game record of 3.3
Also money from paypal aswel for people like me. which doesnt count up on kickstarter id espect atleast 150k from that. Well get there!
Honestly, Kickstarters with such a high goal is absolutely nuts. I could not handle to guilt and responsability if the whole projects turns to shite.

Maybe bugs won't occur when they don't have a publisher rushing them.
I've never seen something so detailed in an Isometric perspective and it freaks me the fuck out
I've never seen something so detailed in an Isometric perspective and it freaks me the fuck out
You haven't probably played alot of isometric games then, the graphics look kinda like 2d isometric games such as desperado or robin hood, just somewhat higher resolution the parts that are painted on like probably the statues are superb though.
I always get a kick out some of those ridiculous 'stretch goals' you see on kickstarter. Half of them are just "$30,000 and we add a new character" ... "$40,000 and we change the main menu font" ... "$50,000 and you can quit the game with a shortcut key at ANY time!". But these goals... ludicrous but worth it I think. Are controllable strongholds really worth half a million dollars in employee wages etc? Probably not but I hope they get it! Project Eternity looks really promising & I'd kill for some old school RPG action like this.

If you make a stretch goal for a new class in a RPG, that money goes into programming time, character design, ability icons, armor, weapons, ability balance, inclusion into the story, etc. There are some pretty far reaching impacts for adding something as "simple" as a new class into a RPG, especially one of the scale that Obsidian seems to want to make. They need $500,000 to make an entire new city. This has to do with the design of the city, the story, quests inside it, NPC's who live there, and a million other things I can't even imagine to take into account when designing such a lively, new zone from the ground up.

Pls get to $3.5
Pls get to $3.5
Either it's going to only just hit 3.5 or be a little bit short of it.
i got the early bird special i would donate more but i don't have enough money.
This damn game man. I started at like 110, then upped it to 140 after seeing the beta access, then saw all the content at 250, and on top of that all the stuff they keept adding each day. So I said fuck it and upped to the 250. Obsidian has been very, very on top of things, with the daily updates and what not. They seem to really be passionate about this project, so I definitely have faith in it. I'm very excited to watch the game's progression, and it's been fun following the kickstarter each day.
Looks 2d
Looks 2d
It is.
Looks 2d
They build 3D levels, turn them into 2D images and paint in details like grass and such. It is 2D.
The only shit that ever bugged me with the 2d isometric stuff was maneuvering behind stuff.
I wonder, though, is it gonna be fully 2D or are they going to have 3D models on top of the 2D world? You know, like Rise of Nations and such.
I understand wanting to show pics, but seeing it in motion is the thing that's going to sell it for me.
I stand corrected on all counts. They actually managed 3.5million, holy shit.
I TOLD YOU fyi it's now the highest funded video game ever on kickstarter
