I'd rather flex my knuckles.
Looks really cool, and I like the idea of being able to let go of the controller completley. Ideally, I'd like to see vr gloves with tracking for the full range of each finger, that you can use a separate hand held controller with if you need to (I know they exist, but they don't look fantastic yet). This is a good compromise though.

I'd be cool with some sort of thing that you strap to your hands and fingers though.

Something like a few wires that go along the back of your fingers that detect movement, with just a couple of straps at the joints. Then your fingers would be free to use a controller or another peripheral
