• Graphics card crashing when playing Fallout 3 and Oblivion

Lately, my graphics card (a Sapphire Toxic HD 4870) has been crashing when playing Fallout 3. I know it is my graphics card, because after the crashes I get a message saying that the card has crashed and recovered. I have the latest drivers downloaded, and still have the same problem. Anyone know something I can do to stop this happening, or do I have to get a new card?
Well if you're running 7 (I don't know about Vista, definitely not XP), you could try disabling visual themes. I read it somewhere here last night and it seemed to have worked for some people.
Disable visual themes altogether, or just on Fallout3/Oblivion?
Anyone else got any tips?
Sorry for not replying, having troubles of my own, just try disabling it altogether at first. Hopefully it'll work!
I do still get this problem, but the crashes aren't related to my graphics card as often as they were. Anyone else got any ideas? I have got the 10.9 drivers by the way.
Well, 10.9 drivers caused a lot of trouble for me. My Crossfire isn't working anymore after the update and rollbacking didn't help. So, 10.9 might be the problem.
I had this problem with 10.8 as well.
Check it isn't overheating, download HWmonitor and check temps
I had a thread on temps for this card before: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=957082
Try 10.5 drivers
