Any suggestions? I'm saying the 5770 HD. His specs are an Athlon II Quad Core at 3 GHz or so with a 450W PSU.
I think your friend really needs to save up some more money. $100 is doable, but don't expect a card that will last you that long (with the pace games are going these days).

I have that card, it's a good buy.

You need a better PSU too
If you can, go with http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-msi-gtx-460-oc-3600mhz-gddr5-gpu-725mhz-shader-clock-1450mhz-336-cores-dldvi-i-hdmi-d-sub Otherwise go with an XFX HD 5770, cheap price and they have a lifetime warranty. [editline]20th April 2011[/editline] If it's that Corsair builder on ok, but if it's some HEc or something no.
