I also have a 500gb 7200rpm HDD and Win 7 Ultimate 64 witch I'm about to install.
uhm what.. you're not seriously putting a 470 with an Athlon 64?
uhm what.. you're not seriously putting a 470 with an Athlon 64?
Why not. It's not that bad.
I can always get a new CPU later.
just get a new computer, it's better to get everything at once than over a period of time.
How many threads do you have to make? This is like the fourth one!
[editline]06:49PM[/editline]
I mean seriously, this guy is a troll. What happened to the 5830 you got from your previous thread?
Dude your cpu sucks ass it's going to bottleneck the 470

Why would I take my time to troll a Hardware thread, I'm serious, I ordered the 5830 but then I canceled the order cause People were telling me not to get it, I can not make up my mind when it comes to GPU's...
Seriously I'm not a hardcore gamer, I'm just a casual enthusiast, so I can wait until after I get this upgrade I can get a new mobo and CPU. I will just keep my 2gb DDR2 ram and my 650w PSU.
But seriously I don't know why everyone gets pissed off so easily because I don't want to waste all my money instantly on a new CPU so soon. I just bought this on last summer.
with that CPU the upgrade is not even worth getting.
with that CPU the upgrade is not even worth getting.
I can upgrade my CPU in a few months, but this upgrade WILL make my PC run faster.
No it won't.
Get a new CPU, motherboard and RAM.

Sorry. Just seems odd that you made so multiple threads. I guess when I saw it was you I was annoyed.
if you're not a hardcore game then why get a top of the line GPU?
[editline]09:13PM[/editline]
also if you bought your current computer last summer I hope it dirt cheap... or free...

I said I got my CPU last summer, Ive been building and upgrading this PC for 6 years.
I just keep piling upgrades over it, then sell the old parts for money for new ones.

no it won't
[editline]05:38AM[/editline]
better get a cheaper case, cheaper gpu, no SSD and get a CPU and mobo
you've been upgrading it piece by piece for 6 years?
no it won't

Explain how and SSD, and 470 and 2 more gb of ram wont make my PC faster.
huge bottleneck.
huge bottleneck.
My friend has a 5000+ and a 480, gets a constant 300fps in L4D2.
and 80fps in Crysis.
Keep in mind 1440x900.
bottleneck.
bottleneck.
Doesn't seem like it.
And I'm on a budget, If I restart my PC from scratch it will be a lot shittier, and wont be worth the money cause it wont be much better than my current one.

Piece of shit CPU will bottleneck everything.
This'll make things run faster:

5770 512mb 128 bit? I'm pretty sure that's just as shitty as my 9600gt. Even my 9600 is 256 bit.
There's no point in having 2 Pc's that are almost the same amount of power.
oh my god are you an idiot?

Even though the 9600 is 256 bit, the 5770 surpasses it in all other areas.
Power consumption, heat, amount of stream processors, speed, everything.
Alright, I'm on an 800-1000 dollar budget for a new PC, fire away.
Not including HDD OS.
I still need a monitor I guess.
I have a mouse already.

Ok. the 5770 is better.
Sorry, I misjudged my computer knowledge.
But it does lack in 1920x1200 preformance, and being as my budget is going to be somewhere a little under 1000(Thats how much I will have made by the end of the summer maybe I can get something more like a 5830.
Or Maybe I'll lower my budget so I'll have a Pc during the summer, I don't know.
[editline]10:22PM[/editline]
I like what GamerKiwi posted, except I'm in Canada.. :saddowns:
And that mobo only supports 1200 ram, and the ram you put in there is 1600.

From the other PC Builders here I have heard that the 5830 is not worth it. Get a 5850 or higher. Also, look into the nVidias 400 series, which you were. So yeah, don't get a 5770 for that resolution. Was just trying to point out your mistake.
