Hey guys not sure if these types of threads are against the rules, if they are i apologise i haven't been on these forums in a while.
My iphone 3gs is getting old and has become extremely slow, and none of the buttons work anymore, so it is nearly impossible to use. I'm open to any suggestions for a new phone, but would prefer the screen not to be over 4.5 inches. Phones like the galaxy S3 are too big for me. Other than that im open to anything, but something new enough that it can use facebook is preferred because i use it on my phone a lot.

Just bought this, android 4 works very fine and its cheap. I can think only one bad side that it has no camera flashlight if you really like to take pictures.
I just got the Droid RAZR HD a week ago and I'm loving so far. My only gripe is you can't open it, but you said you had an iPhone before so you're probably okay with that.
The display is 4.7 inches, but it's the perfect size for me. The S3 was too big (and expensive) for me.
I'd say if you're used to iOS then just try and look for a good second hand iPhone 4 or something, you can pick one up in good condition for fairly cheap now that the 5 is out.
Got mine in pretty much perfect condition for $100, just a few cracks on the screen but it wasn't too costly to get it replaced.

wait you dont want a phone screen bigger than 4.5 inches.
Consider a Galaxy S2
If you don't mind android, try a Samsung rugby smart.
I have a Samsung Ch@t 335, it's pretty good.
I have a Huawei. It's a cheap Chinese iphone replica, it was half the price, and it har everything I need in a Smartphone. I love it
