There's been so many calls for transparency from this site, usually to little or no response Remember the Yandere Sim debarcle, how fucking long did that take?
I don't mind cam girls, just do it on an adult site.
I dislike how theres so many streams with cleavage sticked right into your face. Like, holy shit, I just went into the IRL section, found 2 cleavage cams right off the bat, one of them apparently had a cold, someone comented how it was probably because of the cleavage. Message deleted right away. Classy. The second one is a straight up boob cam, "chillin in the sun", cam pointed straight at her boobs. I really don't get this. I know theres people who like this, but jesus christ, this is worse than the fucking twitch chat.
I don't mind cam girls, just do it on an adult site.
nah, let's do it on twitch
Cr1tikal sums it all up in one of his rants, i really like twitch as a platform but the ammount of titty streamers is gargantuan and i rarely use that word
Best solution would be if Twitch was just clear about what they do and don't want on the site. Creative and IRL have already pushed its boundaries, so naturally users are trying to figure out what they can get away with as well. But like Scratch. said, it doesn't seem like Twitch to clarify. Maybe because they want to have adult-ish content without any of the problems and stigmas associated with it.
don't a bunch of twitch staff have subscriptions for/follow boob streamers
Make more money and take off less clothes :^)
It's hilariously immature management from the website. The only reason these streamers continue to exist is because the staff is pathetic and watch them themselves for sexual gratification. And the streamers know they're untouchable too!
don't a bunch of twitch staff have subscriptions for/follow boob streamers
Cr1tikal even had a clip of a titty streamer saying stuff like "nobody can lay a hand on me because of my mods" or something like that. There definently is a biased moderation giving an advantage to them.
Christ, Twitch. [editline]10th December 2017[/editline] extremely relatable title tho
i think it would be easier to just officially allow 18+ streams and separate them while simultaneously flagging these channels as 18+. The creative freedom would be nice.
It's not even that titty streams are necessarily bad, I mean I find them depressing mainly because I have to wonder who's watching that shit and who's paying for it and what they're getting out of it. But it makes the money and it doesn't directly hurt me. But it's that these girls get to dance around the rules and get protected and guy streamers get to go fuck themselves. You say something wrong as a guy streamer, done, you're punished. You show a little too much skin as a guy streamer, show that boy nipple, done, you're punished. You're a girl with tiddy? Oh well hello m'llady allow me to contribute to your funds, p-please say my name on stream
I'd be ok if Twitch made a +18 ruleset for booby streamers since that means my boys could play those shitty porn games on stream and not get arrested. Those streams are amazing

Oh well hello m'llady allow me to contribute to your funds, p-please say my name on stream
Twitch used to try to have specifics in the rules iirc, I remember a bit of a thing happening because they specifically tried to outlaw in general skimpy/over-revealing outfits but there was also a lot of pushback on them banning men being topless on stream (a lot claiming due to being in very hot places so they like to game shirtless) but I'm pretty sure guys being topless is allowed now and nobody has been banned for it in years, causing more of an uproar of female streamers saying why can men be topless but women not (The culturally sexual nature of female boobs being a debate for another day) They tried to make some rules but people picked them apart, then they defaulted to 'nothing overtly sexual (and we are the ones that decide where the line is)' It feels like the main issue is that there seems to be no guidelines for the admins/mods themselves what is and isn't allowed so nobody actually really knows what Twitch as an organization considers 'overtly sexual behavior' and the enforcement of the rule just comes down to individual opinions and you end up with inconsistent rule enforcement and favoritism where some people are getting banned for nothing and others are getting away with very clear rule breaches of multiple rules. There have been plenty of cases of people asking one admin if X is OK then being banned for doing it by a different admin, so obviously their own guidelines aren't exactly clear.
I'd be ok if Twitch made a +18 ruleset for booby streamers since that means my boys could play those shitty porn games on stream and not get arrested. Those streams are amazing
Thing is what do you draw the line at - 18+ games as a section or literally Twitch becoming a camgirl service? Twitch has always seemed like it wants to be that family/kid friendly site and as such they have outlawed everything adult - The issue they face now is banning or outlawing the clearly sexual channels or parents are gonna learn their kids watch videos on a site with an 18+ section where they can easily make an account and watch camgirls/adult games.
Why would twitch want to police the cam girls. They use the site and attract a bunch of horny kids which generates them revenue.
Why would twitch want to police the cam girls. They use the site and attract a bunch of horny kids which generates them revenue.
When people/media start drawing attention to that fact it sorta goes against the image that Twitch is trying to convey, and the last thing they want is mainstream media telling parents the website their kids spend hours watching has a mixture of questionable softcore porn streams in it that they could also be watching.
Why not just go to pornhub I don't get it
Who care? No one is forcing you to watch these channels. It's better then what youtube is doing and cutting monetization on anything mildly offensive.
Why not just go to pornhub I don't get it
I feel like there's two reasons, one is that you have the "interaction" if that makes sense, the other being it's less likely that little billy's dad blocked twitch over pornhub or some other pornographic site.
Who care? No one is forcing you to watch these channels. It's better then what youtube is doing and cutting monetization on anything mildly offensive.
It's as if there exists a middle ground where everyone is held to the same standards and 18+ content labelled and sorted for its respective viewers.
Who care? No one is forcing you to watch these channels.
It's also the inconsistency-factor from Twitch itself that is at play here in some way. - You are "doing some stretches" on camera while playing a game and just "accidentally" showed some cleavage: Twitch: Good stuff. Keep going! We love our creative users! - You are streaming a game that might just contain some glimpse of panties: Twitch: BOO! BOO! We don't want that sexual nonsense on our service! CHANNEL SUSPENDED!
Why would twitch want to police the cam girls. They use the site and attract a bunch of horny kids which generates them revenue.
How to turn all mainstream advertising partners away from you in one easy step. As much as we don't care, Mcdonalds doesn't want its new burger to show up along with a pair of tasty buns. And if you disable ads on those streams then how do they generate revenue, whats the point of having them? Not to mention companies might pull out even then, just so they aren't associated with the site.
i think it would be easier to just officially allow 18+ streams and separate them while simultaneously flagging these channels as 18+. I think it's slimey of Twitch to have this cam girl loophole to avoid the complications of being an adult website.
Blah. Let 'em do it, I say, as long as they're wearing enough clothing that they wouldn't be arrested for indecent exposure there's nothing wrong with it. I don't watch it myself, I have e621 if I want bared tits, but still.
