Didn't they find this out already?
We pay £20 a month I think for an unreliable 1.5mbit line, I download at 300-400kb/s and upload at 50kb/s on a good day and I live in a reasonably large town. Thanks talktalk.
good or bad for them I have no clue. I can see why I remember phoneing them once and going around in circles, and nothing beats the "upgrade" from unlimited dl to 40gb! /Wish i could swich
I still find it amazing that TalkTalk manage to get more Landline complaints per head than BTRetail even though BT are the default operator for all new lines, but I suppose that's not surprising considering that TalkTalk have a nasty habit (which also hit us) of switching BT lines to TalkTalk Full-Unbundled (which means you can't switch out without faffing about with potentially losing your number) without informing the customer about what that actually means I jumped ship from them a couple months ago to BT Retail Infinity Option 2 and I have to say that it's miles better - a fair bit more expensive, mind, but holy fucking shit is it fast. The TT speeds were dire in my area, even though it was ADSL2+ and I'm a fair way from the exchange there was traffic management out the collective anus which made it unusable at times.
Thought the article was about the band :v: I suppose this sucks for whoever is stuck with it.
I'm with TalkTalk and I've generally been happy with them, we've only had 2-3 outages since I've been with them that lasted a few hours. The only thing I really hate is the torrent throttling in the evenings, but then again only Sky and Be seem to be the only ones not doing it these days. Oh and this.

I'm with talk talk, I get pretty good speeds and have never needed to contact them for support.
They've improved recently. Though they really need to work on latency. I get 20-30ms to anywhere in europe from my uni accommodation; 50-100 from talktalk.
Firstly I had 160kb/s max with them (Was supposed to be 5MB/s), now I've got 280kb/s max. Feels bad, man. I liked it with BT more with my 3MB/s but I think we might get Sky.
