Hi! So I have two computers at the moment, a laptop and a desktop, I want to be able to connect the laptop to the desktop via LAN while using wireless on both for internet access. The LAN connection is for steam streaming.
I've done this before so I know it is possible but I can't remember how I did it.
The two computers are connected on ethernet via a router, but they prioritize the wireless network.
What version of windows do you have?
On windows 8.1, right click the start button, click control panel, network and internet, network and sharing center, change adapter settings.
In there is a list of adapters on the system. Highlight both the LAN adapter and WIFI card, right click and bridge connections.
I can't get the internet connection to work with the bridge. Any ideas?

Ok, got the bridges to work but now they can't see each other on the network.

Have both machines got network discovery turned on?
Yeah.
Make sure DHCP is on for the bridge.
Perhaps windows firewall is classing this new bridge as a "public" network rather than "private".
