Can a 50 cal sniper shot take your head off from 6 in away? - General

Honestly, I foot seems to much for it to take it clean off. A bunch of kids who think they know everything about the army, just because thier brother is a private, thinks this can happen I don 't think that the velocity can push the air spread that far. So, Can a 50 cal take your head off from 1 foot away, and if not, how close does it have to be? Besides turning it into brain-spread Eyeball-strewn paste of course

I think that there would be a very large hole, but other than that, no, I don't think it'd take your whole head off.

Depends on the angle of the shot. A shot which went through the spine would probably have a better chance of decapitation than any other.
