Goty The guy who came up with the idea of ridable elephants deserves an award
Now imagine what an army of these would do.

I never really liked how videogames do riding animals. It just seems like you're using an awkward mech as opposed to guiding an animal in vaguely the right direction. Elephants don't seem like the kind of animal that just smashed through a door after a guy jumps on its back and start impaling people just because his owner wills him to. I would love it if the elephant would just go nuts, reel up on its back and throw you off, and then do whatever the fuck it wants (which could be either run away or fuck up everyone who shoots at it).
It kinda looks like elephants would get boring after the 3rd base take over.

Yeah, there is a time and place where high realism is good, certain environments where it is good. But Far Cry is not one of them.

Elephants seems cool, but I don't like the idea of using them as weapons. It's cause I know I'll feel sad after they die.
I'm not liking how repetitive the mechanics in Far Cry games are becoming. They're going Assassin's Creed with it. The only thing that changes between games is the setting and maybe one or two mechanics but that's it.
Farcry 1-3 were all pretty different. Conceptually they are the same (like all sequels are) but they all played somewhat differently and improved with each iteration. 4 just kind of looks like a better version of 3 instead of being all new. It... looks just like FC3.

What's the point of riding elephants if it just throws you off.

I think they really butchered the AC series with that new model. The issue is that you can always predict what's going to happen or how the game plays. There is never really much to discover. I think the chances between AC1, AC2 and Brotherhood were significant but afterwards they really rehashed the same thing. Altough Far Cry is still okay in my book but I'm fairly sure that people will get pretty bored of this if the series continues like this. Blood Dragon was a nice idea though, even if it was just a reskin of the main game. They should really invest into spicing things up in their games.
Who the fuck keeps writing these retarded PCGamesN titles? And the content.... stupid most of the times. Btw, don't get sand in your eyes. The elephants are just another marketing hype. Remember the CoD dogs and fish AI? Yep!
