• Java Add-On for Firefox

I recently uninstalled all my Java updates, just because, and I was going to re-install the latest patch, but I noticed that the two add-ons: Java Console and Java Quick Starter won't remove themselves from Firefox 3.6b5. It keeps saying "This add-on will be uninstalled when Firefox is restarted", however I have restarted multiple times and they haven't budged. Any solutions?
Take firefox off completely and reinstall it?
Take firefox off completely and reinstall it?
It's not a huge problem, once I re-install Java 6 Update 17, I'm pretty sure it will recognize them and 'reinstate' themselves...if that even makes any sense to you guys. I'm just wondering if it's something to do with Java, my computer or Firefox. [editline]08:28PM[/editline] Just re-installed Java and it got rid of the 'Java Console' add-on, but 're-installed' the 'Java Quick Starter' add-on.
Those addons are included with the Java Package, I have them too. They don't seem to do much, so I leave 'em be.
I knew they came with the Java Update, I just thought it was peculiar that they wouldn't uninstall themselves from Firefox. I'm thinking it's just a bug in the beta though.
Update firefox to the 3.5.7 stable, and try it again.
I like the 3.6 beta 5, it's nice and snappy. As I said above, however, I've already re-installed it and it seems to be fine.
