PC Wizard says my gfx card is running at about 48 degrees celsius just sitting here typing on facepunch. Is that too hot? My cpu is running at 35 degrees so I'm not sure what good ranges are for internal temperatures. Little help fp?
Probably should've used the universal standard instead of comparing to what I am used to, as it seems my hardware runs cool.
Ehh, thermostat says 72 degrees farenheit, but that's upstairs. I'm in the basement and it's generally cooler down here.
My CPU used to run at 103C. You'll be fine (Until you're computer shuts down to save itself.
My Video card runs at about 78c idle. My video card is a fucking beast.
Thats 172.4 Fahrenheit IDLE!!!!!
Okay cool. Yeah, I just played a round of cs:s and it was up to 53. Does anyone have a better way of monitoring temperatures and specs or is PC Wizard sufficient?
GPU is perfectly fine up to 90C Desktop CPUs generally need to only reach around 62C.
Use HWMonitor for temps and stuff: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Thanks!
Also, random question. Does anyone know what windows update is the one that does the genuine check? :)

It tells you in the information box, when clicking on which updates you want.
for AMD highest I would let is like 62. For intel around 74-84
That's pretty bad for idle.
My card gets 20-25 at idle.
But that might be because I have a HAF 922, 6 fans, and great cable management. :v:
Mine sits at the low 30's while idling, your cards warm, not exactly worrying though,
Run HWmonitor and see how hot you get under load.
Graphics card is a tad, tad, bit too hot, but nothing to worry about at all.
The cpu is a little high too, but still, nothing to worry about.
What's the ambient temperature (room temp) of the room the computer is in.
What the fuck are you on about? None of these temperatures are "High". They're completely normal.

A GPU at 48 is perfectly normal.

You are mad
Those temps are A-okay for these parts

I'm just comparing to the norm's I seem to see in computers I use, which is 28C idle for cpu and 35C idle GPU.
Or maybe my rigs just run cold, I dunno.
My CPU's at around 50 and GPU at 60. So meh.
Completely normal. Start worrying when your GPU is 90 Celsius and CPU around 70 Celsius.

If that's your idle temp, then it's completely abnormal.
My CPU idles at 35 C, and my GPU idles around 70 C :frown:
GPU at 50C is very good.

For all we know his fan could be set to turn off completely until a certain temperature. Load temps are what we really need to go by here.
