I bought a BRAND new computer, it has just came today, I put it all together, and the screen does not come on, I know the screen works because I am using it on my old computer.
I've built a computer before, so I know what goes where, but not a genius at it, so I don't know other things that I may need to know.
This happened before, and the problem was that the processor wasn't suitable for the board. The processor FIT, but it didn't work for some reason. But I checked the book and it works, the processor is an Intel Quad Core i5 760 LGA 1156.
Here's a full list of specs:

I just have absoloutley no idea why it isn't working, well everything SEEMS to work, but the monitor just doesn't show a picture.
I've tried different slots on the graphics card, I've tried changing the connector from the monitor cable to the graphics card.
I'm stumped.
Any help at all on this would be much appreciated.
Did you try booting off the VGA built into the motherboard? New builds don't like booting off GPUs for the first time.
Are any of your CPU pins damaged or bent?
If not, you might have a defective motherboard.
do you have to switch from vga mode to dvi mode on the monitor?
Does the machine POST?
This might sound silly, but try placing your RAM on the outer pair of RAM slots.
