• wmplayer.exe process stays open, won't let me reopen WMP

Now, call me a crazy faggot if you want to, but I like WMP. it plays everything I want it to with codec packs, and I like the interface. So you can imagine my dismay when I install Windows 7 and find that WMP is fucking broken. When I close the damn thing, the process doesn't end like a normal program, it stays open, hogging RAM, and making it impossible for me to open WMP again until I've ended the process. If I try to play a file directly while the process is open, it waits for a while then cockslaps me with a 'server excecution failed' error. What gives, and more importantly, how do I stop this?
WMP works just fine for me on Windows 7 RC. Which build are you using?
WMP works just fine for me on Windows 7 RC. Which build are you using?
7100, the official RC1. I changed my codec pack from K-Lite to CCCP, and it fixed that problem, but now it randomly crashes with a 'windows media player has stopped working' error.
What keyboard do you have?

If I exit out of WMP while it's playing something (without pausing/stopping it) it continues playing unless I pause/stop it with the controls on my keyboard or open up WMP and stop/pause it.
