my in-ear beats used to sound pretty nice with a nice mix of crisp treble and bass. suddenly within like the last 2 months they've been sounding really bad. the sound has no treble or high-end, and it's mostly all bass sounding and really garbled. it's very weird. I don't know if i should return them or clean them or something.
You might of blown the little speaker cones out if you plugged them into something that can get real loud.
Don't tell me you haven't cleaned in-ear headphones for 2 months.

Clean them, it should improve the sound quality massively.
With my in-ear beats, it depends a lot on how you position them. Try re-positioning them and see if that makes the sound any better.
i'm surprised it took you 2 months to realise that they sound terrible
