Thread title. I own MW2 already, so is it worth spending the money to play?
No
It's worth about $10-$15.
Only if you are willing to mute everyone else on the server. Or you could just get it for the PC or PS3.
Single-player is ok but a little rushed. Multiplayer is very good, as is zombies. Also, don't expect anything realistic or historical.
No, god no.
If you want to replay MW2, go ahead.
I regret buying it at all.
I'd say $30 or $40 but definantly not $60.
it's terrible
plan to get it for the PC.
honestly, I'm asking if I should buy it or not. Never played Zombies either.
or should I get like L4D2 when it goes on sale again?
I've had more fun on MW2 to be honest. Black Ops is not bad but they feel all the same now, sadly.
I got it for free and it was definitely worth it.
It's fun but not worth $60,-.
It's worth $30,- tops in my opinion.
The single player campaign was horrible in my opinion. Repetive, rushed and cheap. It felt as if the developers tried to recreate what the previous games already had offered, and failed. Instead, it ended up as a clusterfucked repetive rush of constant battle, with inaccurate and boring weapons, along with horrible sound-effects. The graphics and gameplay didn't feel anything near as smooth as the previous games in my opinion. Not to mention that I felt that I never got a chance to know any of the characters as I did in Modern Warfare for example. The multiplayer however, no idea. Never played it, since I didn't bother with purchasing it. Not worth that price tag, at all.
tl;dr: No.
Bought a boxed copy, can't install it. FUCK
Seriously though, I've tried it, don't get it. I regret buying it, and i can't even play it. Get BFBC2, I hear it's :krad2:
Shit game
Regret it
Don't but it
Get BC2 and BC2Vietnam
No. I would DEFINATLY get something like BC2 instead.
Good lord no. There is fun to be had, but wait til the price drops.
Am I the only one who thought it was a decently good game?
Totally not worth $60, though.
It's decent. More like 40-50.
Get BC2 and BC2 Vietnam. Which is only 35$ for both.
Some stores here in the UK are still charging full price for MW2....

I'm getting it gifted from my excellent friend.
It takes place during Bay of Pigs doesn't it?
I've always enjoyed learning about that event in history and I cannot wait to play a video game based off of it.

Black Ops is worth less than my own shit IMO.
All biases aside, I enjoy Black Ops multiplayer as I enjoy the competitive multiplayer shooter experience, and call of duty games seem to fare well in the area of focusing on the competing and progressing to compete. The game could be a lot better, but if you enjoy the stimuli offered by multiplayer fps', get black ops, because there aren't any other fps that can really compete (unfortunately, because competition is healthy for improving both counterparts) in the same area of focused competitiveness. Battlefield BC2 could be mentioned, but it isn't as focused on lone-wolf competing as you need more teamwork to succeed. Is it worth $60? That's up to you, and how much you play it. Until another fps experience can force Treyarch/IW to create more dynamic shooters and intelligent maps, or does it themselves, this is the best multiplayer fps to date. It's particularly more balanced than MW2, and therefore more challenging. That's the most substantial difference I can think of, so buy it if you want to change up your experience a little bit, instead of being noob tubed 20 times a match, which can be quite frustrating.
I would expect more single player for a game that is 60 goddamn dollars. All this multiplayer centered stuff is bullshit.
It's fun, but there's nothing incredible that makes it different from any other CoD game. I'm not going to buy the next in the series unless it offers something very innovative.

It has been like this since MW1
I'd already expect it

What I really cannot wait to do is wager matches. Especially gun game matches. Just like old times in CSS and DoDS
I got it for 43ish euros (got a GB clanmate to buy it for 39,99 quid instead of buying it here for 60) and for 40ish, it's fucking fine.
