Running Q9450, BIOS says it's idling at 28C, RealTemp says it's idling at 55C, using an Noctua NH-U12P with two 120mm Noctua NF-P12's in a push-pull configuration.
What's going on?
I'd say go by the BIOS. Have you tried any other programs?

Try HWMonitor.
HWMonitor/CoreTemp either give the same as RealTemp or 10C more.
When in BIOS the load is almost nothing, temps are usually very low, but that is a big difference between the two.
I've had problems like this. HWMonitor would give me 20c but RealTemp or Speedfan would give me 50.
BIOS would use less processing power then the OS. Therefore would create less heat.
