Could I use a laptop hard drive on my desktop? I still want to run my desktop hard drive I just want to store videos on the laptop hard drive. The laptop hard drive is sata I just want to be sure.
Yup, it's basically the same as a ssd.
Yup, it's basically the same as a ssd.
Ok thanks.
Well it's not necessarily the same as an ssd, size wise yes they are basically the same, but they can be a 5400RPM HDD and they are much much much slower than a standard SSD. But compatibility wise it is just a hard drive and will work, just a different size.
The only difference is size as previously mentioned, and power. It will work fine
Yeah, as mentioned above, it should be fine as along as your desktop is also SATA and you might have to get a 2.5 to 3.5 inch drive converter so it can fit in your desktops bays.
