• The journey of a text message?
    2 replies, posted
When you text someone from your phone, what happens to the text message? Is it sent to a sattelite or something?
There are mobile phone masts lying around everywhere, which give your signal. The text goes to this mast, and then to the other persons phone I guess.
No, a tiny flock of pigeons all carrying each letter of the text you sent get thrown unwillingly through the top of your phone (they're really small, so you can't see them) and they all fly as fast as they can to the person you sent the text to, after which they all swarm inside their phone and arrange themselves to show the message. They then let go of the letters and the message is then shown to the person who you sent it to (the mobile phone screen is actually a very powerful magnifiying glass).
